Via Porta is about sharing our family kitchen with you and your family with primo produce and ready-meals that are just a little fancy.
Our love affair with good food and good times runs deep. As kids we grew up eating from Nonna’s backyard, watching in awe as she created amazing meals from a few simple ingredients.
In the 90’s, Mama & Papa Cos ran a humble little sandwich shop in Coburg, officially marking the families start in the Melbourne food industry. Growing up, all three brothers chose to pursue careers in food. After learning the ropes at various establishments locally and abroad, Mama suggested we open our first venue together. And so Mr Hendricks was born in Balwyn, 2014, and sold three formative years later. Meanwhile big sister Sarah, had been carving a name for herself as co-founder of award winning architecture and interior design firm Studio Esteta, specialising in ground breaking hospitality venues.
With a desire to continue the family tradition, Via Porta represents our shared vision for combining atmosphere, food and service into a truly bellissimo experience.
